Jackie Sibley Newton

Executive Director

Originally from Bluefield/Princeton, West Virginia, Jackie relocated to North Carolina 20 years ago. She is a proud graduate of Gardner-Webb University. She began her career in tourism, serving as Tourism Director for Cleveland County for 14 years before transitioning to assisted living. Jackie's background in hospitality inspired her passion for customer service, and her goal is to enhance the culture and quality of life for each resident at TerraBella Shelby.

Outside of work, Jackie enjoys spending time with her family, including her husband, Kevin, who runs Dale Advertising — a family-owned screen-printing business. She has two children, eight cats, two dogs, and a rabbit.

Samantha Thomas

Business Office Manager

Samantha graduated high school nearly 13 years ago as a CNA. Since then, she has moved up the chain and has served on the TerraBella Shelby leadership team as Business Office Manager for the past two years. Samantha is very driven, loyal, and empathetic. She cares for her grandmother, who lives with dementia, and is passionate about senior care.

Samantha enjoys spending her free time with family and friends, vacationing in the mountains and at the beach. Her five children are her absolute world. She also has four fur babies who are all spoiled rotten.

Jeanett Spangler

Memory Care Director

Jeanett Spangler lives her true passion — working with seniors — and has done so for over 30 years. A longtime Shelby resident, she joined the TerraBella Shelby team in 2003 and continues to love every minute.

Jeanett's family is her world. Her husband, four children, and seven grandchildren keep her busy! In her free time, Jeanett likes to paint and spend quality time with her dog, Lily.
